HSX Home Subscriber Server (HSS)
The Sonus Networks HSX™ HSS includes an industry-proven central database that contains all of the subscriber identification information needed to properly control subscriber voice-call and multimedia sessions, including:
- Subscriber profiles: includes subscriber identity information, the criteria used to determine which component will handle the subscriber’s sessions and the application layer components used to provide services
The HSX HSS utilizes database design principles that have been successfully deployed in the Sonus PSX for years. A strong history of high performance and reliability is what network operators require for this key network component.
In compliance with the industry standard IMS architecture, the HSX HSS uses the IETF DIAMETER protocol to communicate with other network elements. Since 1999, Sonus has been using this protocol for high-performance database access and has proven HSX HSS functionality in service provider networks worldwide.
HSX advantages:
- Trusted, market-proven technology
- Operationally efficient
